put a friends sim in your phone and try the SE site again with their number. Thats what I had to do to get my settings. Unfortunately, the SE site doesn't seem to connect with some phone number.

This is quiet strange. Any idea why a phone number would matter? The fact that both me and the other member 'Hoon' seem to be able to send/receive SMS. I will send try per your suggestion with another SIM card even though the other number is still with T-Mobile.

Correct me if I am wrong here, what SE sende back is a SMS, right? If so, why regular SMS works while SE does not?

Hoon - I also tried +14153334444

I will let you know how this goes.

I have tried the configurator from SE a number of times today, and no luck either. Has anyone actually had it work?

I am sure other people receive the configurator from SE before, while other people seem to have problem with this.

One member suggested using another SIM card because SE does not seem to like some numbers. Why would SE care what number to send the configurator to anyway. I will give it a try another because we have another SIM card in ther family, but I still think this is very weird.

I swear I'd tried over 10 times and I finally just gave up.

The configurations come as SMS. Some come as 2 SMS and u have to follow the steps on the SE web page to correctly install them.
On the sim card issue, I put in my SIM and got nothing from the SE site. I tried another T-mobile sim sure enuf it worked. Now the difference between my number and the other was that mine was a transfer from ATT while the other number was a new T-mobile number. Dont know if this is a factor but would be interesting 2c if this is a factor for others that dont receive the SE configs.

These sms' u r talking about are called OTA ( over the air) settings. What the SE wapsite (or website) is redirecting u to ur provider's site.If this isn't happening or u don't receive the settings it has to do with ur operator, not SE.What u can try is to:
1.Call Customer Service from another phone and do the settings step by step with an operator on the phone (did that a few times in Europe in diff'rent countries) and fix it...or
2. Copy 'em from some1 who has it...

sfaguy,

Sorry to hear that you had no luck in getting your MMS and GPRS working yet.
I got my settings directly from talking to T-mobile and SE.
I first talked to T-mobile, and two guys at T-mobile gave me totally different settings. They absolutely didn't know what they were doing. Then I called SE with the settings that those two idiots gave me, and they walked me through those settings one by one and corrected them.
Now everything is working perfect with my phone.
Hope this helps.

I had the same problem with the SE Wap configuration website. No matter what I did, the SMS message would not come to my T-Mobile SIM.

Since some of the posters above said they had luck using another card, I decided to do something a bit roundabout--I put the SIM I'd been using with my Hong Kong provider, SmarTone, back into my phone (it's still active, and I have roaming here in the US.)

Then I went through the setup steps on the Sony Ericsson WAP config website again, only this time entered the number of my HK SIM for the SMS.

Bingo! I instantly got the correct T-Mobile settings.

Now I have WAP access, but I can't get T-Mobile's own t-zones to work. Im not sure whether I care too much about this, since WAP sites like hollywood.com and yahoo.com pretty much cover what I need.
