> P900 or O2 XDA2 ?

The above would be the "SPV M1000" specifically, as opposed to the vastly inferior, and seemingly useless, SPV E100 or E200 respectively...
Apparently the Orange SPV M1000 is supposedly identical to the XDA2 hardware wise, being consmetically different on the exterior, with Orange instead of O2 branding on the software side.
Also, apparently, the Orange SPV M1000 lacks the Wi-Fi functionality that the XDA 2 has, although as far as I am aware, the XDA 2 is only Wi-Fi enabled with an addon card, unless they meant software, rather than hardware, support for such a thing...
No doubt it will be drastically overpriced to begin with, followed by a brief time where it'll be free, then suffer sky high prices for quite some time thereafter, until it is obsolete and superceeded by a portable dishwasher/phone/windowspc/night-vision camera/vacuum cleaner combo...

Just to suggest another option; I have an ipaq 1940 and was eyeing off the O2, but in the end I decided to buy a cheap t68i. This give me the flexibility of taking the ipaq with me when I need to, or just the t68i when I don't. Combined weight is about the same as the O2
You could go for a T630 if the t68i doesn't do it for U

Well, I've got both the P900 and XDA II, and I wouldn't say they're comparable devices. If you're looking for a phone with a hellofalot of features then the P900 is superb. However, if you're looking for a fully-fledged PDA, which you can also use as a phone then the XDA II will suit you down to the ground!
The XDA II is available for £199.99 at O2 stores just now, irrespective of tariff... so it's not a bad bet at all.
As for WiFi, the XDA II only supports it through the addition of an SDIO card in the top. I imagine there would be no problem doing this also with the Orange version, whenever that materialises.
Cheers!

You pay what you get. Plus XDA's size is much bigger and it doesn't look pretty when you put XDA next to your ears. It's like going back into the 90s.
BUt having said that, the XDA is definitely much powerful.

Well with regard to the price, I haven't checked but if it is available for £200 on ANY tariff, then it can't be bad... though I find it hard to believe the price remains the same for a £15 tariff, or whatever is the lowest that O2 do...
With regards to the WiFi support, what i mentioned is something which is being stated in early reports, and was something I read on ZDnet...
About the size... well the XDA2 isn't really all that big in reality, the original had a monstrosity of an aerial sticking out of the top, but the new XDA2 is actually quite sleek, ok so its larger than the P900 in width mainly, but then thats because of the larger screen which forces that size... it looks a little unweildy mainly because SE sorta perfected the size issue with the P900
But all in all, both are very able devices indeed.. and i doubt you could go wrong with either !

I have a P900 and my buddy has an XDA II. He feels it's good as a PDA, but fails to be a good phone.

I have both and also a palm tungstenT and out of the three I much prefer the XDAII as a palm phone due to its very large screen but I also like the P900 as a phone but am not too happy with the PDA functionallity.
