And I'm not for one minute suggesting that you want to invade anyone's privacy. But the sad fact of it is that there are many people out there who do. Although I really can't see how making the shutter noise on mobile phones compulsory will stop that. I mean who's going to hear if you take a picture in a busy pub or shop?

Last time i saw something about this on the news, it was a high pitched beeping noise they were wanting to force on camera phones.

Its true that on the T610/T630 that the shutter sound, even when on, can hardly be heard. I just think they're over-reacting slightly. Also heard they have banned camera phones in leisure centres in Australia. For obvious reasons.

I have heard this b4, sutter sounds are being made compulsory because of people taking pictures of children and so on without them knowing, it is a move to stop pedofiles and others from taking a picture with their mobile discreetly, this will soon be what happens with all camera phones and some digital cameras. Camera phones have also been banned from some schools in the Uk due to this!
