Indeed, which is indeed good.

But, I can't see why they need proprietry firmware. What bonus does it have?

I can understand why Orange use it, but not O2.

And no, it's got nowt to do with the splash screens as they can be easily changed.

My P800 from Voda came with standard firmware, but had VF splash screens.

Is ther any body around who bought from O2 before Xmas? what is your CDA?

I guess i was just lucky then i got my O2 contract upgarded from "Phones4u" and got a standard unit
