@mobman

I wasn't aware that O2 phones used naything other than the standard firmware issued my SE.
Your problems do sound rather annoying, the battery indicator problem is most definitely an irritating one, I would either try and update your firmware as soon as possible or return the phone and claim under either the warranty or your insurance.

There's no recall ,though it seems pretty obvious that the post was written in good faith, so not too much flaming!

There do seem to be a higher-than-usual number of faulty BST-15 batteries, though, there are so many potential reasons why the battery will drain faster, depending on the combination of applications/BT/IrDA/GPRS/screensaver/power save etc that anyone person is using. It would seem, if you are unhappy with the battery life of your Px00, it is a good idea to try a master reset and restore a recent backup, but also to bear these things in mind.

Someone said in another thread just the other day that battery conditioning doesn't work on P900 batteries, I always held to the belief that it did.

I think there's nothing official that says you can or can't condition the battery, but those who have seem to think it makes a difference.

The P900 has a standard battery. If there would be a recall other phones would be affected, too. And we would already heart of it. Just hype.

i have a flip problem and a battery problem too.. my battery runs down too quickly.. well i dont exactly have the countrate rite now.. but will post it laterz.. Will keep a check from now on time to time.. and tell u guys.. But this if for sure.. I tried to BLUEJACK .. i went to contact.. opened the bluejacking contact.. Click SEND AS "bluetooth" did 5 searches no device was found.. ofcourse cuz i was alone in my room.. just checking cuz whenever i started bluejacking ppl .. my battery drained.. so my battery ran down from 51% to 47% .. wid oonly 5 searches and yeah.. my bluetooth was off.. when i searched .. so does it have to swtich on the bluetooth everytime it starts searches .. common sense tells me yes.. but still 4 percent dwon.. and the OK button on the flip doesnt work well for me.. i got a brand new fone from sony ericsson.. its under warranty.. my previous one was short circuit so they gave me a new one and its ok button has to be pressed hard enuf so i think if they recall .. it is for the betterment of the product. they will then upgrade/update software/hardware and improve it to return it to us.
