Khayman - would you care to bestow thy knowledge gained from the manual upon us mere mortals?

Maybe they should package it in such a way that you can't get to the device before reading the manual completely and understanding everything in it, or better, passing an exam first.

my biggest gripes are...

No read reciept option with the flip closed.

You cannot see the draft or outbox of the SMS with the flip closed. So if I'm writing a text and then get a call...after the call I have to open the flip to go to the draft folder to continue with my text.

So far that's it... may be more as I get used to the phone.

Seriously,

All those flaws came with the p800 as well.
That's why i won't be getting a p900.
It maybe a smartphone, but with flip closed, it's definitely the dumbest of them all.

...I'll take your flames now...

I've got a P800 so this may not apply, but i can't see why they would change it. For number 4, all my mobile number appear, are you sure you have them listed as mobile numbers?

For number 10, hold the stylus on the screen by the world you wish to select until the little triangle disappears, and then select the word.

I have just sold my P900 after 3 months use. I've now gone back to my much loved T610.

The P900 was the first phone I bought on impulse and weighted by reviews.

I think a lot of people liek it because it's a phone, PDA (sort of), MP3 player, camera (which is pathetic).

People are also reluctant to say they have made a 'bad' purchase - especially if like me I bought cash from Orange for £500!

To be short it doesn't to anything well. It's just OK at most things. Some things like Bluetooth it's rubbish.

I'm sure futer models will improve, but I'll stick to my T610 and my Sony Clie for a PDA.

CLive

Maybe that's because we don't think that. Not all of us wasnt to carry a PDA around or need the features it offers. All i really need is to be able to occasionally use the internet, play a few MP3's, and certain other applications that i may find useful every so often. I also need the battery life that a PDA just won't be able to offer.

In the end it's mainly just a smartphone. If that's not what you want then you're not going to be happy, but for the majority of us it's fine.

Yea, i gotta agree here. Personally I find, using the P900 as a regular fone, with the flip closed, it just feels so well... CRAP. I couldn't believe I had to open the flip, to view pictures... Thats bad. Like somebody else said, why can't we get to SMS Outbox / Sent and Draft boxes. That sucks. I have many gripes with the fone in closed flip mode, but i am on lunch, so i'mma stfu ... for now.

3. How do I change the Apps shortcuts menu in flip closed? Can i do that? I would put the time / alarms shortcut right at the top

You go to control panel in flip opened. Application Shortcuts, then there is a tab at the bottom saying Flip Closed. [Deep slow wizard type voice] "Choose your applications wisely."

And to whoever said manuals shouldn't be put in the boxes because it saves trees. Sod that, I hate trees, what have they ever done for us?
