6.6 - 7.1 MB is a reasonable amount of free RAM to have on the P900, at this very moment I currently have 5.4 MB free, though normally I would expect this to be around the 6.4-6.7 MB mark.
Your device sounds perfectly normal and as we all know, anything over 7 isn't so much something to be proud of as just abnormal

Not living in london or any other city, which has a program developed for its underground system, I can't comment on that. Hmmm, I just did though, wheeeeeeeeeee

if you do live in a city with an underground you might like to try Métro

I've been using it on pocketpc and prior to that on palm for a number of years and it has the underground of almost every city in the world in it

I find the only way i can get the Tube Street map to load is if i turn the phone off, then back on again! Why this works i dont kno! I use SMan and the like the close all apps etc, but for some reason, street map needs a restart.

Ive also found out that SMan (even tho i highly rate it) does not display "all" running applications. Ive been playin around with jcompile and the only way to close ur apps is thru qFileManager's Task list. This seems to be the only app to show the true running progs on the phone.

Currently got 6,400KB RAM available on my P900.
Just restarted... now got 8,032KB

It definately makes a difference.

Another thing to be aware of (and further proof that SMan duznt display everything) is that the V-Rally game (which gobbles up memory) is not displayed in SMan. I find i have to properly exit the game in order for it to work.

Just seeing if VRally is displayed in qFileman now... Yep it is!
Listed as "Main"! ONLY thing is it wont close! So I'll still have to only exit from the game. This "Main" is not listed in SMan (or other task lists like in handyday) yet my free RAM has decreased to 1972KB!

OK next test...
gonna try n open street map now... NOPE!
now i'll close all the open apps using qFileMan...OK 7,464KB left .. just lost 600KB somewhere! ...London Strret Map.... NOPE!

So there u have it... Use qFileMan to end tasks and free up all the RAM in ur phone! As for Street Map - needs a restart!
