On my old FW phone (R1A054), I can usually squeeze 2-4 days out of it before the battery totally discharged itself. I heavily text and occasionally call people, so I have about 30 texts a day, and about 10-30 minutes a day (minutes are usually less).

Haven't gotten a chance to test my newer phone (R1B027) yet.

I know that reception signal does effect the life of the battery, but I've read somewhere on this forum that there is a way to boost the reception meter... dunno where I read it though Ok, now, I'm not talking of lil things stuck all over the place to boost the reception, but rather of something when done, shows a higher / better reception meter on the phone and thereby helps to prolong the period before a recharge is required.

Maybe, just maybe, someone else has seen this too and could point us all to that thread!

Cheers

U r right, reception has effect batts condition. Some say, d best way 2 charge d fone is in off mode, in that case d batt doesnt have any disturbing facts, like search after good reception, wich as mentioned does effect batt condition. This message was posted from a R520

batt. life is HIGHLY depandant from Operators signal strenght.
whan I was in Croatia for a meeting my signal level was full but battery life time reported 144h ( my former T39). When I came back to Vienna (couple hours later) signal strenght was back to 192h. I switched the phone off, then on, same time.

So I think this shows that is also dependant of your country operator, what kind of base stations does he have etc.

back to T610: I only want to say that batt. life is much much less than
stated in official spec. I know that they are using optimal conditions, without touching the phone etc. ( but then what's the use of the phone if you don't use it?)
