just got of phone to o2, re-explained my problem, mentiond t&c and told them i'm not the only one, mentioning this handy thread. they said someone from another department would ring... we'll see mmm... lf if thats the case, o2 shouldn't have let me connect if there was a charge.especially since i had no credit.i dont feel obliged to pay if its not my fault or lose my number that iue had 2years. and ive lost all the numbers in o2pocket how about the lad ln the carrabian? he wasn't charged.

not coplaining though, easily had my moneys worth of apps & games & browsing this wonderfull site still not phoned back. customer "care",its just the£6.50 it cost to get the gprs settings sent to me after formatting my phone thinking it was to blame.

the mobile video link in o2wap only seems to appear on phones compatable with streaming as standard.tried on my old 7650 and the link just wasn't there. some good extreme footage in sports sec.i think in my case, it was the video streaming that they confused with the alleged calls. must look similar. they just phoned and said id have to contact the department that barred me, too much hassle. think i'll just console myself with the 100meg or so per month ROTFLMAO some good came out of it. confirmed! o2free till april 1st, must be a joke lol

I lost my simcard with £10 worth of credit and the simcard was my 6 year old number.
Not too worried now though, because im on O2 Online. I could probably use my remaining credit up on buying ringtones off their website if they havn't taken the credit.

Anyone know if it's still free on contract? Don't appear to have been charged but they can add the costs on at any time to contract and force me to pay

The cut off date for free GPRS WAP (O2 Mobile Web has always been chargeable) is 01/05/04.

To the guys who have made hundreds of pounds worth of calls. When you make a call, the call file generated is not immediately sent to your service provider. The network will usually bundle a few days' call files together and send them as a package. Networks in general give lower priority to foreign traffic, so what would normally take two or three days to reach your SP (i.e. normal UK use), can take anything up to a fortnight (it depends on the sophistication of the network you roamed on). What may have happened is that you have gone away with an amount of credit, and during the time it took for the call files to eventually reach your SP (at which point they bar you), you have been able to run up a bill far in excess of your credit level. Until fairly recently, overseas GPRS billing has been a bit 'hit and miss'. It is also worth being aware that there are two 'bands' for roamed data (I can only speak for O2 on this though). A band 'A' country costs £6/Mb ex.VAT while a band 'B' country can cost you £18/Mb (yes, eighteen!) ex.VAT. Fortunately only Austria, the Czech Republic, and Portugal are in band 'B', and this will probably change.
