Wow - I take some time offline, and I come back to EXACTLY the same discussion we were having just 6 months ago! Clever
Could a mod make a sticky topic with those points in..?

The P-serie support MAXIMUM 128mb
Only solution are the 2x128mb card with a switch.

@ Dave_uk -

I wasn't trying to patronise you pilgrim. You made a statement which has been answered several times. Masseur re-iterated that fact in this post. Was his statement satisfactory for you? But then again you agree that the search button would have allowed you to learn that answer any way. Thus, if you don't appreciate plp posting comments on how you should go about researching then don't add to the redundant topic posting frenzy that has inflitrated these forums like a plague. Without your post you probably wouldn't have read my post. The 'essay' was my way of helping you understand how these mem duo discussions have unfurled and therefore how to make a sound judgement for yourself. With that said, you clearly did not make a sound judgement by asking members to do something that maybe you could have already found out by using the search button. You more illustrated that lack of inclination to practice sound judgement when you ignored Rash's post that uttered the word "NO". If you think Rash- has been on the fence on this subject matter in his previous postings maybe you could do a search on other members like let's say...me. You would have found out from my previous posts that I consistently suggest that one verifies the vendor's claim by simply consulting the manufacturer. 'Hear it from the horse's mouth' as I would put it. I think you've been on Esato long enough to know the right thing to do.

@masseur

Thank you - that was all I asked.

@BigFeat

Ok, ok - I take your point, and I believe I have one too. I appreciate that you know what you're talking about, and I believe that you, unlike some, are in it to help others - all I'm saying is that the tendency to tell people to seems to be overwhelming this place as a discussion forum. I should know better, as you said, but as I said I quite frankly can't be bothered to sift through the crap all the time - there are enough people here who pretend to know what they're on about but do, in fact, know diddly. This might be seen to be a burden on other users, but I can honestly say I would always rather try and help someone than direct them to a search facility, as you will see if you check my posts.

Anyway, I think I have initiated the waste of enough of Esato's precious bandwidth with what is, effectively, a difference of opinion, so let's leave it at that.

Peace out.

@dave_uk: True, lately I've been telling people to use the search a whole lot. So why don't I just give them the link? Simple. If you give them the link this time, they'll expect you to always give them the link. They'll never learn that 99% of their questions have come up before, and that even google can tell them their answers.

So I tell them to use the search.

Now, if it's a more obscure/hard to find topic, I'll gladly answer:

Ms Pro support is not firmware related; it's a hardware issue. The "old" memory stick readers do not have enough hardware bits to access anything above 128MB. A "switch-type" card that literally only shows 128MB at a time would be feasible.

Am I right in saying that the P900 can use a memory stick bigger than 128Mb?

I thought I saw this on another topic in Esato.
