If you need to buy a phone today, your choice is T630.

I would say either t610 or wait.
@Jussi2000 he can't get the t630 as orange don't sell it in there tariff, so to get it he would have to pay £200+ for the phone then use it on the orange network. The t610 is free though so is a good option. Could be a while before the new phones that are reveailed actually get released, and when they are released you can guarantee they won't be cheap.

at least you know what your options will be, which is always a better basis to make a decison on isn't it;)
as for

RF problems..... there have been numerous accounts of weak signal.... almost al;l of them on 1900 mhz band which is badly implemented on the networks as it is.
Over here signal is outstanding..... but then again all networks are quite strong over here

I can't say I've had any problems with reception on my T610. Signal strength seems to be about the same as what I got on my last phone, a Siemens S45i. Then again, we don't have 1900 networks here in europe.
I remember reading somewhere that the T61x's trouble with 1900 networks was a lot worse when it was first released in the US, and that since then things have been somewhat fixed. Anyone have any reliable info on that?
In my experience, menu speed is fast enough. Composing sms messages is a little slow, but I can live with that. Might depend on what you're used too, though. I've only had siemens phones before my T610, and I hear nokia's are speedier than those.

Thanks for all the info, I got a T610 in the end, as my T68i's given up completely now. It's a shmae, I would have rather waited a few more months, but there you go.

sure you won't be dissapointed mate. I used a t630 for the first time today. Can't say it was much better than t610. Obviously screen quality is better but the buttons are so rubbery. Also there aren't as many themes for the t630, and using a t610 one does look wierd on the menu.
