Click on the clock symbol on the bottom bar next to the battery meter in flip-open mode, then click View.
You can set upto 3 alarms and if you have your Work-days set in the Calendar, you can configure a week-day alarm and separate ones. Works fine for me!
I also do a full schedule for when I work my shifts, with the alarm set to sound 2 hours before the shift, so I get time to hit snooze 4 times then get up
As to the original thread starter... sounds like you need to teach your assistant to set or not set alarms with all day events. You can configure Outlook to default to no alarm easy enough. In Outlook -> Tools -> Options: under the first tab (Preferences) you have the 'default reminder' bit.
