I tried using the stand from the phone but way too slow. Invested in a USB2 card and a multicard reader. can do a 100MB film in a minute or two. Much better.

Ah, the old chestnut of which is faster, USB or a card reader. There is only one way to decide, we shall have a round the world motorcar race. Only one driver and one navigator each, a flask of tea and a round of cucumbers sanrnies. The Queen herself can drop the handkerchief in Piccadil and the first past the column on the way back takes the trophy and the glory. Huzzah!

with a high speed card reader(7 in one) and usb 2.0 i write 123 mb( magicate sony 128msduo,the fast one) in 1,5-2 minutes. Instead of 2 hours by cradle.

nope nope nope

the cradle is slow and usb is faster but they both bow down to.....pc card. A pc card gives incredible speeds and if you have a laptop get a pcmcia memory card reader. you can then enjoy speeds only dick dastardly could dream of.
