U r not helping ppl!
Having the same software, try and see if u have the same amount of free space as some1 said before - this is important.Then compare it. It might also be what the other guy said about diff'rent out-sourcing .try a master reset also .

I did delete a load of stuff out of my memory though, its got 1241k free.
But as you can see from the vids, its still runs the screensaver slower.....

There's no might about it. They WILL send you a reconditioned one. They don't EVER send out new ones unfortunately - That's just how they work and believe me all the arguing in the world won't change their opinion - It's in the T&C somewhere.

Seeing as you've now master reset your phone, can you tell me the following:
> Does the memory status show the KB for "My sounds" ???
> Does the "More themes" --> "Sony Ericsson" link take you to the actual themes page???
(These were problems with resetting the R1A software. Not sure if they fixed them) Have you noticed anything else missing or not working?

r1a was the first version of firmware out - my phone originally had that wen i got it back in July.
Wen i had r1a it was well slow, even slower than b4 i got it flashed to r4c and a master reset.
So get ur firmware updared 1st and then master reset.

If i was you i would definately update the firmware it will make everything faster (much faster in typing sms) and the phone dont crash so often.
