i paid £75 for mine on orange. my contract had finished and i was just on a rolling monthly one so i rang and said that i could get a P900 on another network for less so unless they matched it i'd be off, i started at £50, he wanted £150, we argued for a bit and agreed on £75 whith me renewing exactle the same 200min/£25 contract, phone was with the the next day, easy peasy.

What about the 3 months thing in the orange contract did they not try to impose some form of penalty for changing that certainly is the impression the Link gave me
At the minute the Link is offering the P900 at no cost on the orange 700 tariff over the net - but they say that you cannot change tariff for min 3 months

I got mine FREE (was £249) on Vodafone on 400 tariff at £25 (£50 half price for 3 months) and can downgrade straight away as T&Cs don't mention anything about downgrade period.
Also, it has been mentioned by someone working at the Link that you can change straight away on networks besides T-mobile as they impose a 6 month no tariff change policy.

So, let me get this straight... If you contact orange DIRECT, and not the place where you bought the phone (i.e. the Link), you won't get any penalties for downgrading???! That can't be right, surely?

The P900 on Orange is out of stock at the Link and many places. Also Orange the provider do not have a 3 month policy change. It is upto the dealer/retailer.
