Nope... not at all and it really doesn't sound like 'normal phone behaviour' to me. If I were you I'd have a repair guy look at it.

I've had the exact same problem and it's really easy to solve. The Z600 partly locks up when one key is pressed continuously. On my phone the space key was stuck under the keyboard cover. Because of the keyboards flat design this is nearly impossible to see.
If anyone has similar problems try to press every key on your phone one after another and control that they are unpressed after you let go of them. Your phone should work properly after that.
I was very unsatisfied with Sony Ericsson's support by the way. Such a trivial problem is nowhere to be found on their support site and even a support call couldn't clarify the problem. Only after having to drive for hours to their service center for two times someone could come up with the simple solution.
