Pop it down to your local service centre, the only other option is prayer ...

I spoke to SE UK customer support a short while ago who confirmed the update server was having problems, but they were non specific except to say try it again in 48 hours

If you have a my-symbian account then this email someone received might also be interesting

ok have just noticed something really odd:

in the system information where Bluetooth used to have a version number it now has N/A

So it looks like bluetooth support has been wiped from my phone.

odd!

sounds like a pants update tbh. are you sure that you installed the correct update (ie one for your network, and not the individual one)?

You must of had some weird ass crap happen during the update. Is there a chance that your PC might have or still is infected with a virus? If you have crap running through your PC chances are it could have manipulated/corrupted the data stream during the update. It sounds like u just need to get a hard firmware flash at this point to fix your software corruption.

Anywho, despite your advice not to upgrade I went a head and did it just an hour ago and I was able to update and restore with no hicups.

Glad your update went well, I am going to take it to the SE service center on Friday and let them sort it out. So at the moment I am using a Mokia 6610 (i think it is anyway)
