1st thing, im very sorry about your phone man!

Anyway, leave the battery out of the phone until you can figure out what to do. Sometimes by leaving a charged battery in the phone after water contact can mess it up even more.

removing bettery is defenatly the 1 think. But 1-5 sec is enough to burn transmiter. So it kinda hard to do.
Also he sad that he know what dont work so he already puted battery and tryed phone.
So too late.

Hey man,i'm very sorry about your phone.

Almost the same thing happend to me with my p800.

I was once sitting at the dinnertable eating soup with my family. My dad asked: how do you take pictures with it? So l explained how it works and handed over my phone. But unfortunately the phone slips out of my dads hands and drops into his plate filled with soup! He immediately grabs it out the soup.

I switched it off and took the battery out and all parts that you can take off. Dried it everywhere l could reach it with a cottontip stick (you know such a stick you clean your ears with, don't know the English word for it,maybe you guys kan help me out?). And than let it drie near the central heating.

I tried several times to see if he still worked but unfortunately he didn't work, couldn't even switch it on.

Afte a couple of ours he switched on again but the screen was flickering and the touch of the touchscreen didn't work! And the jogdail refused to work also.

I let it dry the whole night and turned it on again. He was working again!Everything worked but the jogdail, could only scroll the select function didn't work.

After a month or so the other functions of the jogdail came back one by one, very strange!

But hè i'm lucky he's still working today!

Hope your phone will be brought back to live in an even miraculous way as mine!

my phone was dropped in water.
It looked like it was dry but the display sucked and the phone switched on and off occassionally.
I just bought one of those air blowers in a can.

Sprayed the whole phone with air, and it worked perfectly.

My girlfriend and I went for a long bike ride. I was using my P900 to mark our time every few Km's. We found a scenic spot to take a break by the lake. There was a picnic table we found right along the edge of the water. I pulled out some snacks from my backpack as we sat on the table. I used the P900 to take some photos of my girlfriend and the view. Then I placed the phone on the table for a couple of minutes. Both my girlfriend and I noticed the phone on the table. I decided to pick it up to check our ride times. Just as I picked up the phone we somehow bumped elbows and phone went directly in to the water. I looked in shock as I reached down to grab the phone. The first thing I did was removed the battery and SIM card to let it dry. After a few minutes, I tested the phone to see if it would work and yes, the phone was operating but I did notice some funny marks on the screen. I turned off the phone and removed the battery again until we reached home which was about an hour later. I tried the phone again and this time the LCD was a lot worse. I let if dry for a couple of hours and tested again, the screen was completely blank at this point. I tried to remove the case completely but was not able to. I'm still thinking that if I can remove the case, it may help the drying process. Each time I connected the battery to test the phone, I've been seeing no display. It truly is a sad state. One thing for sure, the P900 can be used for so many things (being as powerful as it is and with the convenience of having it everywhere you go), but when it stops working, you realize how valuable of a tool it really is. I'm still hoping this one will wake up again!

There is a forth screw on the top left side, next to the gold pin connector. You have to take the little plastic covering off which was glued on. I used a thin blade with a narrow tip to remove this piece. Now I have the back cover off. Everything seems to be fine. It's dry but the LCD is still coming up blank. It's getting power, I can see the back light. However, no colour or display icons/text.

What is this??? Does the P900 have some kind of an H2O magnet???

floydspin: Do not despair ... yet. First thing is to try to resist the temptation to reattach the battery and see if it's OK. Let it dry overnight, or longer if necessary. Using a hair dryer on low heat, from a reasonable distance, might also help.

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago and it almost gave me a heart attack. It happened in the early morning hours and the first thing to come on my mind was to remove the battery and SIM card. I took the kids to school as if nothing is wrong. When I got home an hour later, it was the hair dryer for almost 30 minutes. I tried it and found the jog dial still not fully functional and the number pad/flip gives out numbers randomly. I left it in the open, exposed to fresh air for more than 2 hours.

By night time, everything was back to normal, but 30% of the screen showed signs of condensation. I took it to the local SE workshop, where a friend works. He supervised a thorough cleaning process that showed no serious water leftovers. I was also told that the screen might clear up in a couple of days; or it was something like $250 for a replacement. Next morning, screen as clear as new!

I feel for you, buddy, and hope your saga ends peacefully. Do come back with any news.
