ok this is where I have to disagree. I never had an ericsson before the T68 because there was no model that had what I wanted, and my brother who did have Ericsson was forever replacing his antennae

I did have the Sony Z5 and MZ5 and they were way ahead of anything ericsson had at the time including jog dial, they could store addresses as well as numbers. The Mz5 could play Mp3 etc etc

Before the Z5 I was very tempted by the Z1 too but didn't have the money at the time.

and lets not forget the J5 which let you record (on the phone) your own ringtones as I recall

@masseur i dont think that jogdial, mp3 and my voice are the most important features of a fone. More fun than use. Not to forget in some sony fones the vibra feature was the membran! Therefore the fone had only 3 profiles. Ring or vibra or silent. /// released r520, while sony j6, j7 etc. Bang and olufsen cannot be compared with sony aswell! Dont mean the price! Quality instead of quantity. This message was posted from a R520

I don't think I said they were important features but when the Sony phones had them in addition to all the other features that ericsson phones had, that made the differenc to me.

I don't know what membran means? but I've never been into profiles and either have vibration on when I carry the phone or vibration off when I don't so was happy with that, and even now on the T630 and P900 still have the same philosophy.

Also the nice curvy styling (especially of the M5) is much better IMHO to the style-less square boxes ericsson made.

and I hardly think ericsson was the B&O of the mobile world

but I always totally hated ericsson phones and loved Sony/Motorola in those days so I am sure we will never agree

Interesting thread. I like Sony Ericsson's designs, and since about everything in my life - except for girls - is about design, I think I'd go for a Sony. However, I really hope SE won't ever split up. This message was posted from a T300

I'd say sony too. The z5 was amazing, pop3, wap, jog dial, an excellent interface and it was so tiny. But then again, ericsson made the godly t68. The only ericsson i like. This message was posted from a T300
