Surely someone @ Orange would have told you (or your friend..ehum) the answer to that question Orangeman? I mean they are drowning in them at your company! This message was posted from a P900

Thanks massuer. So you can only copy pics over, or is it the same for ringtones & vid clips etc? Contacs is a no-no then.

@purge - I was asked at nearly 11:20pm. I thought I would get a promt reply here on esato as it was a bit late to contact my colleague who has a P900. I don't own one, as I did not want to look like a gas meter reader, so I'm not sure how it all works.

for music open the musuc player and click on music at the top, then manage tracks. Then click on a track which, like the pics, shows a full screen for that track. Then, again like the pics, choose where you want it to go from the drop down list of storage choices at the top

for videos, open the vide application and click on the video. This starts it playing but just click the stop button and then move it just like the pics and music/ringtones etc

you could also install SMan or some other file manager and move the files that way

you can't move individual contacts (except within the folders already in the contacts database) but using a file manager you could copy the c:\system\data\contacts.cdb (thats the contacts file) to the memory stick as a backup but I'm not sure if its usable from there (don't think so)

@Orangeman
Gas meter reader!!! that is certainly insulting
Now regarding your question there is a copy to option for video and music files. But as far as I know contacts is a no no

EDIT: masseur was quicker as usuall

i've always found that results in a "file in use" error (don't remember the exact message) and doesn't work. that's on my P8 tho.

Hey Orangeman, why dont you tell your friend (ehumm..) to register with Esato? We would welcome her with open arms. Now that would save you a lot of time. Dont tell me...she doesnt have access to the internet. What about using her shiny new GPRS enabled P900 then? This message was posted from a P900
