More to the point, if you need convincing to buy this device then you should also seek psychiatric help.

If you can afford it, why wouldnt you wanna buy it?

If you want the best smartphone before the end of the month go ahead - get yourself a P900, but if you can wait till the 14-th of next month (Europe) and you have 849 Euros, then go and have a look at the Nokia 7700. Is simply the best. This message was posted from a Nokia 7650

I got myself a P900, have it a week now.
My previous phone was a nokia 6600.
believe me, once you've the p900 you don't need something else.
i use it to brows the web, use some msn client, play games, send / receive email etc. etc. etc.
BUT i recomment you to use a duo-simcard in a smaller phone in case you go out to some party

I think this thread is useful not only for the original poster. The experience on p900's design and usability is quite interesting...

I changed from a Palm device, Clie NR70V to the P900 and I'm pretty satisfied with it as a PIM. Specially when there are new good apps for UIQ. But I'm still wating for a good data base program and a better way to read Excel and Word files.

As a phone the P900 is not as good as my old Nokia 6310. Reception, sound, usability could be better.

Over all, P900 is a good combination of PDA/phone. Someting to use until the new Nokia communicator, the 9500, is released this fall.

or not depending on how bothered you are over a small unfunctional piece of crap. That will be made avliable for current p900 users anyway. As the flip terminal on the p900 has enopugh bandwidth for the amount of data the new flip uses this is the main reason SE uses around 20% of its bandwidth lets screw more money out our customers.

if you want to have basically a little laptop in your pocktet the P900 is the one for you - email, internet, sync with computer, mp3 player, documents, and pictures if you're into that - plus loads of third party software. It's great.

my only problem is that I've invested a ridiculous amount of time and money in the Px00 that I think I'll never leave it. I couldn't stand to start again. I've been looking at the new Nokia 7700 (I think) which looks good but couldn't be bothered going through the learning curve again. The other problem I have with the Px00 is that they are fairly bulky and ugly... not the end of the world. But if you have a bluetooth headset, the device is never up to your ear !

Beware, that if you're a gadget freak this phone will cost you a lot even after you've forked out for hte handset - software, accessories, bits and bobs. But as I say, it's a laptop replacement, especially with a wireless keyboard.
