I recall that there are already pics taken by the SO505is in various threads on Esato. for example a quick search gave me one in
this thread
which comes from the SE japan SO505is site where you will also find these
there are more out there if you search or if I get time I'll dig around

I don't have cash now to by a new phone, so Q4 sounds just about right for me!
At least now I'm sure it's worth waiting for

Yep, 1.3mega can give good results when coupled with good CCD + lens .. When I went to Australia all my pix were snapped with Canon A20 which was 2.1mega camera and captured the memories wonderfully
My girlfriend has a SE505i and has sent me amazing pix with it - and they had to be reduced to 30k to e-mail to me but still v.impressive!
I'm just back from Japan and love to try out all the new phones in Yodobashi store (and love to see my girl too, of course!) - I'm glad to see similar technology coming here soon
