Changing the settings from auto to basic just introduced an echo. What I did try was change the microphone to the one I used with the Nokia CARK-91 and that helped. It's still not as good as the old CARK-91 but it reduced the noise and made my voice more clear for the other party. I'm really pissed that SE is selling a carkit with a microphone that I wouldn't even use for online gaming...
