se phones are tested first before they are released in the market unlike nokia which uses consumers as their testers.

i wonder if those who bought a p800 agree with you. its just a trial p900.

In my experience Nokia is better, I had a T610 and the battery life only lasted 3 days with one or two calls and a little texting, I'm now using a Nokia 6310 and the battery lasts more than a week with a few calls a day and lots of texting.

I had always used Nokia in the past, then changed to Sony Ericsson, but jumped right back to Nokia

in my personal experiences with phones, sony ericsson and siemens are the most reliable phones ive had. bad ones are nokia, sharp, and motorolla. This message was posted from a P900

well i don't really agree with him but i still think p800 is one of the best phone i've had in years. it never failed it rarely crashes, really i'm amazed sometimes when i see that people are complaining about it....

oh and i guess the most reliable phone that i've ever had is r320, great phone....

based on an industry report i read last year, the return rate for SE defective phones was about 10%, which is around the industry average. the return rate for nokias was over 30%.

this was based on surveys done on scandinavian phone retailers. i can't recall the report i read it in, but it seems consistent with my experiences with both brands.

i've had friends who have had numerous problems with their nokias, while i have never had to make any warranty claims with any Ericsson or SE phone i have ever owned. maybe i've just been lucky, but i think it speaks volumes about the brand too.

I agree. I had one ant it could pick up at least 1 bar of signal in an elevator.

An update over the internet left my P900 useless. It is now at the service center and I have to wait 3 weeks to get it back. The US only has one service center and I am 3000 miles away from it buhu. Now that is aggrevating, when I talked to a rep. he said "they have lots of oops." Now what does that tell you?
