Don't diss the Pod

I have a P900 and an Ipod and they are both things of loveliness

They (ipod / P900) are complementary, especially if you don't think that 2 albums of storage is a decent use of mordern technology and that 300+ is more like it.

If you are happy to carry round only 2 or 3 albums (or more MS) then Ipod is a redundant idea anyway. If you want to carry several (more than say 50 albums) then you have little choice but to use a HD based player of which the ipod is just one choice.

Let me be clear that the Ipod (in my opinion) plays music ONLY. The organiser functions on it are not useful and there is no way to input data.

The P900 does EVERYTHING else

now i have to say this, ipods are crap. get an iriver or something.
i can carry my iriver in my back right pocket and my z600 in my front right pocket no problem, apart from sitting down. i have a p800 and sometimes think about taking that out and leaving the other two at home when going to the post office or out to meet friends at lunch, but then i remember how long it takes to transfer an album to the p800.

Maybe a card reader can solve the speed problem. I don't think i need an ipod because i usually take short trips and a dozen of songs will be enough. There is a player in my car and i listen to mp3s at home so i'd rather watch some simpsons episode on my way somewhere. This message was posted from a R520

What MP3 Player has a better Soundoutput????

Battery lasts longer (8hours) and I dont see why I would need more and I dont know a MP3 Player that can play longer...

It is a portable hdd, it works perfectly. Maybe you did something wrong.
ok, true no ogg support. I dont care about that... no need there.

Another option would be the audio/video Jukebox Creative is bringing out (sorry forgot the name)...

Ok sorry guys i know that an ipod is better than a p900 at playing music that wasnt meant to be the point of my post...

I wanted to know NOT that it has big memory and plays sightly better music. BUT if its lay out is like that of the music ud store on ur iTune play on ur PC/Mac and if so would this be possible with the P900...

Havin a app for Mp3 storage, which orders all your music making it easy to flip from one album to another , tracks to tracks and so on... Sync to PC and so on...

Just thought it would be cool if we could do that too

(also is ipod mp3 or a different formate?)
