I'm with you though... I'm baffled why they hang on to this sttoooopid 128MB restriction and why they never bothered with pro support
Doesn't strike me as a good competitive strategy at all

The problem is as we need better memory SE will fall behide. Look at the MPx200, it can take a 1GB SD card. For business user who wants all his files in one place and is like to lose memory cards they are likely to past over the P900 and choose something else.

There are actually no 1 GB MS DUO PRO. For 2004 following sizes are released for MS:
- 512 MS DUO PRO
- 1 GB MS PRO (MS with bigger dimension).
I don't know if any of those are released yet, but concidering the late release I would not expect any MS DUO PRO phones from SE until next year. Yeah, they are slow, but I guess as long as their phones sell well they are in no hurry to introduce MS DUO PRO on their phones.

The S700 is a cameraphone, 128mb for a 1.3mp camera sounds fine to me, id be perfectly happy with it.
The only reason you'd need higher memory in a cameraphone would be to listen to MP3's.. but if you're going to listen to Mp3's, buy an iPod !
I think if you want more memory in a phone, go buy a Nokia 6600 or 7610 instead of moaning about SE's decisions.

Would a 128mb limit put everyone off buying the phone ?
The P900 has a 128mb limit too, and it needs memory more than the S700 does (for apps, document storage etc) but people still love it all the same.. see what im getting at ?
