bleh my billing cycle has started a while ago, and I still get 'user barred' errors when trying to send MMS! bleh!!!

Call the data support section and ask them to check the NAP. Your sim may not be set up on there properly. The sim may be set up for MMS but if your number is not on the NAP system it won't work.

I got mine sorted in the end - I had a faulty simcard. Got all the credit switched over and now I am happy.

The problem could possibly be that your SIM card needs SIM updates sent to it, to make sure it coinsides with your account.

The correct procedure for those is to read, delete, all the SIM updates, then turn off the handset for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.

But, the user barred message is normally a simple one. In your messaging menu item, then go into picture, then to options/settings, then to wap profiles, and make sure the MMS profile has a dot in it, and not a WAP GPRS one, as that is likely to be the cause of the problem.

You'll get that message because you are barred from sending MMS messages through a GPRS WAP gateway .
