i did format the card from the phone.
Its not a vaio, but a fujitsu laptop.
Oh i am very precautious on the copying process, I have even tried to use the remove hardware safely before i eject out the memory stick.
btw the stick is what comes together with the phone. (32mb)
not very sure if its a magic gate version or if it does have anti-piracy features.
I have experimented a number of test but no final result as yet.
I have tried to power off before inserting the cards.
currently it looks like when i copy 2 or above files at one time, then it start giving me problems.

no, you do not need to power off before inserting, dont worry about that.
and if its the ms that came with the p900 it does not have the magic gate technology. (this would not allow to hold the same mp3 files more than two times.sucks)
the process you mentioned, problems with copying more files at a time, could be the issue. som card readers fail to arrange the data to be written to the card and that messes up the transfer. sure, try copying them one by one. good luck

what is the problem with these card readers? what should i look for if I intend to get another card reader which do not need me to eject out the stick everytime i copy a file.
and which is a better choice? pcmcia or usb?
