oh well, I am keeping the memory stick and I performed a backup on the phone last night so hopefully all the stuff will be able to be restored
even if I can't wipe whats already on there

I have the new phone and have just completed the restore from the backup I made on the old phone last night
Just to be safe last night I ran a full backup, (memory stick and phone)
The new phone now has all my contacts (thank god), however has lost about half the videos and pictures that were on the memory stick yesterday
Also I have lost the stored text messages from the old phone
Not sure why the backup/restore "lost" the pics and messages but not much I can do about it now, at least the phone works and the contacts are safe
