I bought mine 2 days ago from Fortress, at HK$3,480 (244) including a free screen protector and spare battery (Fujipower 780mAh).
You can also buy it from "3" at HK$,3,380 with a HK$1005 rebaqte over 15months. You MUST subscribe to 3 though, at a plan of HK$108 or higher per month. It doesn't work out any cheaper than if you already have a subscription, so it's better to just buy the handset as above.
Wilsoncomm(.com.hk) sell it at HK$302x12 months so Fortress is currently your best bet.

@Squiddley
Which Fortress did you get yours at?? Did you haggle a bit to get the freebies or did Fortress throw those in automatically? That's about 200HKD cheaper than they are quoting me over the phone at SonyStyle in Causeway Bay.
I'm flying through Hong Kong on my way to Sydney on Sunday and have scheduled my flights so I can make a quick jaunt into HK just to buy a K700. I live in Taipei and it hasn't been released here yet -- probably next week, but I can't wait!!

I bought it from the branch in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, but you should get the same deal at ALL branches. The only exception is (too bad for you!) the airport branch, which isn't strictly a Fortress, but is operated by the "duty free" concessionary. There's NO duty on electronics in HK, so it's a misnomer.
No haggling was involved. The price on the card showed "Special" and "Free gift" in Chinese, and when I asked, that's what I got. If by chance you have a HK issued credit card, you can get it on 12 or 24 month interest-free installments too.... I did a 12 monther. I also know from asking that if you have an American Express card, you can get the phone from "Smartone" for HK$3680 - but that might also only aply to locally issued cards. (Smartone is a HK network provider, ala Orange (3), Vodaphone etc.)
You can find Fortress branches all over the place...the easiest one from the airport being in Tsing Yi, the first stop from the airport on the Airport Express train. It's a "superstore" on the 4th floor - hard to miss. You won't have to pay airport tax if you're arrivng & departing within 24 hours, and can get some more odds and sods too.
If you DO have a go, make SURE to check that the phone will have International or at least regional warranty. A lot of electronics come with "warranty valid in HK only". Might not be an issue for you in TPE.
If you need any more advice, email me at the profile address or post here. I'll try and keep track
Cheers!

Great information, thanks!! I have a 10 hour layover so I'll probably go all the way into the city. I've been doing a lot of searching for different places to buy around HK -- I know there are shops everywhere of varying degrees of reputability.
It seems like Mong Kok has the best selection of places for mobiles -- including Fortress and Broadway. I will probably head there and check them out along with Sin Tat (Sincere Plaza). I've read you have to be careful of fakes at Sin Tat. I think I feel more comfortable buying from the big boys (Fortress/Broadway) than one where the phone might have "fallen off the boat". Just want to see what it's all about.
I will definitely check on the international warranty. I read somewhere else that you can have a local warranty converted to international by going to a SE shop. I think there's one at MK.
Thanks for your help!

You're more than welcome!
The Exact addresses and numbers of the SE showrooms are listed on their website, but you're right, there's a big one in Mongkok. There's one independent mobile shop chain that I'm "comfortable" with, and that's Wilsoncomm(.com.hk). When I last checked, their window price was displayed as HK$302x12. There was a crowd of onlookers and the kids wouldn't let me dawdle to enquire lol.
Good hunting...it might even be cheaper by now ... there's wishful thinking for you!
