I've never used that phone before, but a mate of mine recently had the same problem with a t610 - and that was corrected by a sim update. As you've already had sim updates, did you follow the procedure to activate them?
when you recieve them, you need to delete them, and turn the phone off and back on for them to take affect.
i'm sorry if you've already tried it, but just letting you know incase you havent!

The codes that show when I do what you say are as follows:-

With regards the sim update, I opened message, then deleted it then turn't phone off then back on again.
I also rang orange again and had another update sent thru - still no joy.
