Atlis: Why did you use such a depreciating tone in your last post above? What
martin4058 states, at least about GPRS Class 10, is obviously correct. To learn about GPRS classes, take a look at
GSM World - GPRS Class Type.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to verify the information about coding schemes, but, until proved otherwise, I hold that it's correct too.

All I way saying is that 59.2kbit/s is the actual (user) data rate on an EDGE timeslot so it may be very difficult to get 4x59.2 using MCS9 when you have to consider the air interface. Error correction is such important part of data transfer on the GSM radio network.
Who knows, you might get away with MCS9 in video streaming or something where the errors are not deemed important but I would have thought that general web surfing or file transfer will require a much lower coding scheme.
Maybe I'm wrong but at least tell me why
