it is definately the power save mode
if you put to auto it will turn display off when charging as i have tried both ways 10 times
i dont think se have mastered power save mode yet maybe with firmware update they will

I just tried mine, as its on charge and the light wouldnt go off.
I turned the phone on, and instead of putting the light on automatic, i turned it off completely. The phone stayed on, but the backlight was off completely (cool! more power for the user = more time using the phone on a sunny day outdoors).
I turned the phone off, and the screen and keypad went blank. So, i turned the phone on, but instead of turning on, the phone display came on saying it was charging, but the light was off, and so was the phone.
So right now ive got the phone to say its charging, but the backlight and keypad arent lit up, and the phone isnt on either (i tried calling it).
