i got a belkin card reader from argos and i can fill my 128 mb card full of songs in a few secs at most

As stated many times here, all of the symbian connect (pc suite) methods use serial or virtual serial connections... that includes bt/ir/usb-dock. Think isdn modem speeds.
A usb 2 card reader will fill a 128 duo in less than a minute.
