I confirm! When somebody call my K700, there is a lag before I hear the voice in speaker... Very annoying.... Makes you say "hello... hello..." several times...

SE, please it's time for a firmware upgrade!!!

As mentioned, I think will fix it in a firmware upgrade...

I have noticed this also, BUT only after adding a picture to one of my contacts...

It happens even if it aint the picture contact thats ringing... I think the fact that there is a contact pic in the phone, it causes the lag. I bet there aint any users that have the same problem that dont have at least one contact pic.

I had this problem, I had an MP3 set as the ringtone, changed the ringer to one of the regular pre-installed tones and everything seems fine now, picture or no picture.

Mine works perfectly fine. That profile thing, works well for every delay, eh!!
If you are attaching picture to any caller, keep it small coz whenever your phone rings its OS generates the call ic loop and that loop looks for parameters like pictures, sounds etc. So if you have that "BIG" snapshot it will take time as cell have to cycle back to get the snap and parameters.

Solution:
Dont use your phone for storin a million snaps!!!! It slows the cpu cycle in it, what it means is whenever an call event is generated the phone have to look for parameters and the source of the call event. That takes around 5 to 6 cycles in general, which means Keeping your phone memory a bit free, and addin less of those parameters may make it work fine!!!

Less technical :
just limit the size to max of 4kb.
Its a phone, let it be that peeps! can't expect much outta a small phone that too from SE (its far good than i expected, i guess)!!
