My P800, which was bought secondhand and is over a year old, has no scratches on the screen at all, either from me or the previous owner! I think that unless you're really careless, you won't need a screen protector. I'd imagine it would mean as well your stylus would have an extra layer to get through when you're tapping/writing, so you'd have to do it that bit harder, making it a pain to write with?

I have not used one yet on my P900, but I have the MFOP laying in my drawer. I am always very careful and only tap on the screen. One of these days I will install them.

I got one a month after getting my P900. Have not taken it off since. Great things they are.

If you're a very 'meticulous' person, I don't think you'll be needing one

I guess that will be only apply when you are about to sell your unit, + points to the buyer

It should come today, I'll install it and try it out, If it annoys me Its going in the bin, I am very maticulous and like I said, my PDA screen is perfect and its over 3 years old.
(Its also crap and out of date but hey

)
Thanks for your opinions

I recommend to you to buy it. My friend has a screen protector and it helps him.

Would reccomend them. notonly does it keep alot of grubby marks off the screen, but I found when using one the hand writing recognition picked up a little easier.

i don't have a screen protector. but i got i thin plastic film like thing pasted on the screen when i bought my p900. i think its a standard SE packing material to protect the screen. anyway i have taken it on and off it still works very well as a screen protector. though hand writing recognition is not very good with that film covering the screen
