why would you want to have 128-192kbps mp3 on the phone, when 80-128kbps mp4 sounds just as good, and takes up less memory in the phone

No, 128kbps MP3s do not sound bad on the K700... it's POORLY ENCODED MP3s.
Not all MP3 encoders are the same. Just because it's a 128kbps mp3, doesn't mean it was encoded well.
I have a "possessed" Marilyn Manson mp3 (192kbps)... it plays fine on Winamp, but can't be burned on CD (It can be burned, but comes out as 4 min of dead silence..I use Nero 6), and when played back on a car mp3 unit, it's dead silence as well. Hehehehe... no, it has no copy protection (as all mp3s don't have that capability) but it would be a neat trick to do if I find out how the glitch happened.
Re-ripped it from my CD, using Creative Labs SW, new version plays fine in my car, and can be burned as a regular CD using Nero.

My recommended mp3 encoder is lame 3.96. and best CD riper for me is "Exact Audio Copy".
Recommend lame parameters for ~128kbps is "-V5 --athaa-sensitivity 1" this setting performed good is recent multiformat listening test (by far better than CBR at 128kbps)
http://www.rjamorim.com/test/multiformat128/results.html
The resulting file is VBR mp3 with average bitrate around 128kbp with excellent quality (for that bitrate).
So far my K700 play VBR mp3 encoded with above settings fine.
P.S. lame mp3 is the BEST mp3 encoder according to consensus opinions at hydrogenaudio.org, Sound Forge uses Fraunhofer mp3 codec which is already outdated and can't compare to mp3 produced by recent version of lame

Thank you for all the help, the problem is all gone now. I have only one more question, what settings should I use with DB Power Amp?

@ Mag, Well I have set the rip from CD to 128 Kbps and at 44Khz MP3 lame codec..No further settings..My Mp3 are playing perfect on the K700i..No skip what so ever..! Db Power Amp is very User Friendly..It's pretty fast too..Remember one thing though if you rip below 128Kbps then you achieve smaller size of the file but poor quality..! and if you rip above 128 kbps larger size better quality..But if you want CD Quality then set to 128kbps...
You can get free MP3's from
