The thing is my Vodafone K700i is alredy on the way and I got it for £180 so its OK. Is their neway of getting all the REAL icons back and the MORE button instead of VODA LIVE. I'm thinkin 2 go to a shop to ask but if ne1 knows if the shops can do it then der is no need 2 ask dem. And also if ne1 knows how much this will cost.

Thanx In Advance

Hmm, got my K700 today, one of the features i was looking forward to was the My Friends option, but it looks like O2 have nerfed it!

@SonySandy

If I was you, I would try my luck complaining to O2. Ask them why you were not told this feature didn't exist in their firmware and see if there is any way you can get it back.

AFAIK, that phone now belongs to you seeing as you have entered a contract with them (i assume). This means that you own a K700 which you should really be able to demand the full specification of.

If anyone who knows the law properly would like to correct me, please do. I wouldnt mind knowing where we stand on this anyway!

well actually I dont think you do own the phone until your 12 month contract is up as you have not fully paid for the phone until then have you? you may get the phone for free but thats normally at the expense of a higher tariff as the cost of the phone will be partly built into that. I bought a new car on credit and until the 3 year credit agreement is up I dont own the car and they could take it back if I failed to pay for example, same applies for a phone I guess! The phone is technically theirs until everything has been paid.
If its pay and go its a different story though!

Hmmmm.. I'm not convinced. I am the registered owner of my car and thats on finance. I think the phone is yours because you can do whatever you like with it. You can sell it if you like, your only tie to the operator is that you pay your bill for 12 months.

This is all off topic anyway.. Back to the o2 branding. I have just received my o2 k700 and i am quite happy by how little branding there is. I am still a bit disappointed by the removal of the 'My Friends' option, but i will try to find a Wireless Village implementation in Java before I complain too much about it.

Anybody know of one?

What is the 'My Friends' option? I'm on Orange and I've never heard of it?
