the moral of the story is, if you want an unbranded one, dont buy from a voda store

I guess if you were brave you could have a good nose around the ROM sections of the phone and try and locate the file that held the operator stuff, like soneone did to work out the startup and shutdown sounds and vids.
Even if u could find the stuff on the ROM you can't edit, delete, replace or move it etc as it's read only unfortunately

I got mine for free on a contract upgrade so i dont mind having a go at it myself if anyone has the faintest idea how it would be a good help because im clueless. GAH!!! i cant believe SE would LET someone taint their products in this way. U cant even dowload anything from vodafone live! for the p900 so really what is the point...

I can unbrand it for you but unfortunately I live in South Africa and you don't, basically what you need to do is one of two things mate:
1) speak really nicely to a guy at a sonyericsson service point perhaps slip him a few quid to flash your phone but with the EMEA flash, which will give you a original SonyEricsson flash on your p900.
2) Get yourself a ufs-3 flash box (www.ufs-3.net) and flash your own phone in the comfort of your home.
or
3) Just find someone who has a ufs-3 or similar product, most reputable 3rd party repair shops should be using these and pay them a few pounds and they will flash it for you.
Hope this helps
Yusuf.
