Has anyone compared P910 to Benq P30? Or is P30 doomed?

For new customers, the keyboard and extra memory is very attractive.

The P910 isn't so attractive for those who have a P900.... The p910 isn't meet to be the 'next p910 version'.. but a replacement.

I hope it sells well...

i think it won't sell more then the P900. 50% people who have a P800 already updated to the P900. the rest will normally folow now. buying a P900 or P910. and the P910 will sell to some new business people or people who finally understand that the nokia phones are not as good as SE's phones.
remember that also the price is high and not many people have the money. i'm just a student, i work alot when i can and i try to save as much to buy such a phone. is it worth it? yes it is, cause i use it alot and it fun 2.

oyea price is expected between 750-800euro. the rivals will make the price go down abit, but not much. don't expect it to reach 600euro soon.

A barely noticeable 262k screen.

and how exactly do you know that i mean we always knew that the difference between colors becomes smaller when it's 65k+ i mean eldar said it has the best reproduction of colors in a pda or in a smartphone, what do you want? you know it drains battery if you want to have a 16 million screen

More memory

yeah and a lot more considering this is symbian!

They finally released the firmware upgrade to support Duo Pro I saw so long ago on the P800. (Meaning Duo Pro WAS possible on a P800 storage wise, not transfer rate wise).

fw upgrade cmon and how are you going to have a fast smartphone with 16mb ram and with a 1gb storage medium

Qwerty Keyboard

yeah and a quite useful one if may i say so! i know some are complain but to me it looks like an ideal solution for a train, car etc, way faster than normal keys but you can write on it without the styli!

Wow! Software upgrades and a new screen that you cant even tell the difference! ITs just like the P800 to P900. A new flip (again) that could be easily attached to a P900 and made working with a firmware upgrade.

can't tell the difference let me guess you are a beta tester of this phone and you didn't noticed one if so get some glasses and leave us alone, again eldar said it's the best and i think that's enough for now...

Conclusion: You can get the same exact thing as a P910 with a P900 with JUST a firmware upgrade.

oh really? now that has to be the supidest thing i have ever heard....

Wtf are SE on? I mean, I spoke with my contacts at SE just a few months ago and they had so much planned i got excited about the P910 but now THIS is all we get? Wow, tsk tsk.

and i see that some blabber mouth got you all excited so yeah naturally you are disappointed, i mean you want a revolution and you get a evolution you know ipaq's have less new features every new edition, you can have a ppc for more than a year and you still have a device that isn't much worse than it's sucessor,my point- it's hard to start a revolution if you already have the best smartphone in the world....

The Nokia 7700 is much better function wise than the P910. But I would never buy it because it looks like a nice taco because its inconvient and has almost no input methods.

yeah and first of all it wasn't that better considering it's size and that it didn't had a keyboard and it was canceled so if you want to talk about canceled phones i think neonode is the best

The MPx is what im going to buy, by all means. It has everything the P910 has and more. It looks nice, and is an all around good phone. Im sorry to say but SE is losing me, why the tiny little updates all the time? Why not take a little more time to create a REAL upgrade. Argh!

good for you, but i don't know what are you waiting, you have way better ppc's if you want one already in the market, the only advantages i see is a 1.3mpx camera which i don't really need and i'll never know why anybody would take pics with their mobile but ok good for you if you need it.... and umts and wi-fi, i agree those two things are good and it beats p910 at this BUT you know mpx is a little sharp at the corners, i mean 32mb of ram isn't much for a ppc actually it's nothing! and if you are going to buy it practise turning off and on your p900 every 10 minutes because you are really going to need the reset button in this one.... and wow look at that keyboard, my eyes hurt when i just look at it, christ it looks like motorola is doing something like nokia they have thrown the keys design to freakin picasso! anyway i guess it's a good device but you do realise that it's going to be massively available in q1 2005 right? while p910 already started production!
anyway i hate this thread and not because i'm a die hard symbian fan, i'm not, but i hate that people always start some conclusions on white papers! i mean christ wait for both to get available and don't just judge at something your pc monitor says.... christ the only review i know about p910 said it's the best phone sorry smart phone on the market and that it's close to ideal but nooooooo why would you believe that, se sucks right?
and btw you really think this was all se was doing this time? they have taken a lot of time with symbian 3.0 and it's functionality but you know se has to make some money too

I'm also disappointed with this.. THey shoud have incorporated the upgrade on the p900 for extra cost and not like this.. so next time I'll think twice before I buy the S700 because on the next couple of months there will be a S710...

and what's next? a P920 with a MP camera?

Why is this thread even getting responses? If one wants to make some real phone challenges I have about 3 phones I purchased from Japan last month that would leave most speechless and forget about P900 and MPX phone wars. I still love my P800 and P900 and view them in a class of their own. However, this isn't about other non-related phones really. I think it's an attempt for someone to somehow dimish member's egos by discussing a phone they don't even have. It's about P800s and P900s. So to waste time about how another phone is going to put SE out of business I think the MPX has already been blown away months before by Japanese technology. However, all companies continue to exists despite their shortcommings to its Japanese competitors. SE will not go anywhere, especially when it's trying to compete in the Japanese market as well. So how can those reported phones really take SE out of business??

er...SE make phones for the Japanese market and last year they had 100% growth - seems to me SE what will sell in which market and to which segment. The P910 is a business person's phone primarily.
