Yeah, he didn't sound entirely convincing. I'm going to ring o2 order line and ask them instead. :-/ Ill get to the bottom of this and reply shortly.

So in fact you don't get a free handset every 6 months. It's more like a loan service cos you have to send the original phone back when you upgrade. I'm sure you'd be better off sticking to a 12 month contract and actually getting to keep the phone.

Yeah, I tried to get through to o2 directly for 30 mins and got passed from one department to the next. Then I've been ringing Durham for the last hour and they've switched their answer machine off. I'm going for a 12 month contract from Carphone Warehouse instead. Less branding on phone anyway. Their loss is CPW's gain. twats. I'd like to know about the o2 deal just out of interest though.
