I heard a talk on medical effects of mobile talking. It was a research guy at Ericsson that held the talk. I was really suspicious at first, since Ericsson has so much to loose if it turned out that mobile phones were dangerous. But he convinced me not to be afraid of radiation. For instance, the only effect that has been concluded to be harmful is the heating of the tissues in the head --- it is simply not good that the head warms up --- but this heating is controlled by the SAR values and kept at non-dangerous levels. Science in this field has long been trying to find if there is any _other_ harmful effect than heating, but so far nobody has found that. A few times, a report has popped up with some claimed non-thermal (non-warming) harmful effect, but these experiments have never been possible to reproduce, which is very important in science.
I don't say that mobile phones are harmless --- nobody can know that for sure --- but at least there is no scientific foundation for saying that they _are_ dangerous.
