I wasn't pissed off when the P900 was released. I still use my P800 and will use it until something better comes along... and I mean a lot better then just the small details regarding the P900. Memory is the most important issue for me. 4096 colors are enough for what I do. Mostly read books and listen to ogg. Got myself a 128Mb ms duo.
P910i doesn't look interresting enough to buy. So same thing there. =)

I hope that the next version will be worth my money though.

Can't trust me though... I might be mad enough to buy this one just to have it.. *sighs*

I'm not pissed off at all & there's no reason for u to be.

>Firstly it's a nice evolution of the P-Series, this makes more sense that radically changing every model.

>If all the features you want were included there would be nothing left for the next phone. U'd then have to wait for new developments & new technology for the next phone & maybe only get one released every 2years!! Then you would be pissed off!!

>The P910 isn't a totally new thing, hence the name, it's a refined P900. This is better than Nokias tactic of releasing the same features in a different & more weird case & giving it a totally different model name. That is a con SEs method is not.

>You are NOT FORCED to buy it!!

>It's not meant to replace everyones P900! It's just another product to offer to the market.

>Would you expect a car manufacturer to make only one spec of each model & any with new spec should be totally different? No! They make a car & offer a range of engines etc. Look at the P900 as VW Golf GTi while P910 is VW Golf R32!
It makes sense when u look at it from a different perspective doesn't it.

No.

Actually, it does. But only to a certain extent. I understand that this is a "natural progression", but I believe an upgrade should be more substantial, as stated previously, than this. I think SE should also address the concerns of current owners before adding things that weren't ever a major cause for concern (like a shitty little QWERTY keyboard; that thing is useless).

I just feel like SE is trying to trick me into purchasing another updated device. Surely I don't have to spend my money. And I won't. But when I start seeing advertisements for the new model, which means they are pushing these ads on me, I am going to be mad. Shit, they are STILL advertising the P900 in Mexico City...

And yes, advertising pisses me off in general. I dislike capitalism.

I agree completely with what mince-inside said a few posts up. I've had mine about 8-9 months too and I'm not really that upset with the P910.

I agree in some respects it's not very big changes, but it is nearly a year old now and when it came out (and even now) it does stuff that noone other phone/pda combo can do!

Sure I'd love more than 128Mb (especially more internal memory), but my previous phone was a T68 with 1Mb memory, I'm really not complaining!

I'd love a P910, but I'm not going to buy it, I'm happy with what I have.

no not pissed off at all. its evolution and thats the natural order of things.

I will get one when I get around to it but I like my p900 and may well wait for the p920 or wahtever comes out next year instead.

upgrading the p900 isn't really a sound option for se so they are just being realistic about market forces.

If I had a p800 I would upgrade to a p910 asap tho

@ richy240
So if the upgrade was huge & included everything, leaving no room for improvement would you not soon get pissed off when there was no further upgrade for a couple of years?! Or if there was another it would have virtually no changes as the previous model has everything, u'd hate that even more mate.

Picture this:
The P800 came out 2years ago with 262k colours, 64MB + 1GB Duo support, 1.3MP cam, WiFi, GPS and so on!
It would have been amazing at the time but now, 2years later, the P900 & P910 would be no improvement on it as there's nothing left!

It's sound marketing strategy. Let's face it, if SE didn't make any money then there wouldn't even be a P910 for anyone to get pissed off at!
