yes the 6600 can do interprotation with a third party application called photo acute which isnt bad and on par/slightly worse than k700
however the extra memory to store all the photos (that take up more memory after intrprotation) is a bonus. as for panoramic shots not sure but believe there may be third party software for this. yes the arguement is you have to pay for them (but i think we both know there are plenty of sites offering such programs for free)
as is the ablitiy to watch movies etc though i do accept that the screens on both a re not large enough to make the viewing ideal
i aint getting into a flaming war over which is best as i stated in my post above that both were great phone just that the 6600 suited my needs and budget better

For quite a lot of free generic Java midlet applications, take a look at mob385 - Free Java midlets.

Oh, yes, next your gonna say that your 6600 can store hundreds of mp3 files, not few like the k700i...yeah...but...you can only hear them in MONO! lol

And buying a k700i expecting thousands of apps like smartphones 6600 and SX1 is jus plain DUMB!!! The k700 is a diferent kind of phone!

yes correct as i said further up they are differnet phones and aimed at differnet people
perhaps reading what people write will help you understand that they are just pointing things out that aint quite right.
and as for mp3 your right you can store as many as you like if you want them in mono
i dont use mp3s as i perfer my music uncompressed and agree they sound bad on the6600 and dont sound anywhere near as good on a dedecated mp3 player as on the cd
you buy the phone that best suits your needs i think i said that above as well

do you need a separate program running on the k700 to control a computer? i was under the impression that there was something built-in, but i am probably wrong. please correct me if i am. in the unlikely event that i am right, please tell me how to get it to work.

As buckle247 said you don't need to use aps made for the K700, Alot of the java aps made for the 6600 should work on the K700 (not the sis files, only jar files)

Will MiniGPS work in the K700, or is that only for Symbian phones?
