same scenario here. after an overnight of charging, around 5 to 7 hours, my battery indicates red light. Sony Ericsson Philippines plans to replace the batteries on k700i units because of poor battery performance. it is the same battery used on z200 models.

if the uk sony-ericsson do choose to release a new battery, will i be able to go to where i purchased my phone from (carphone warehouse) to get the new battery or do i have to go to a sony-ericsson store. (or will i have to paty to get the new one?)

When I charge my K700 the message "charging" appears and never changes. On all other phones I've had, the message changes to something like "charging completed".

Is this normal for the K700 or do I have a faulty one?

it is normal. when the battery meter goes green and stps moving it is fully charged.
