About the transfer of wat was it 200k between pc's that would be pants, most pc's need at least 100/10mb. And just wondering that 115kb/s u sure that weren't 115 bytes a second? Lol. 20 quid a month for unlimited gprs! Screw that u can get broadband 512 connection for that price. Well 4 all the the ppl that still av free gprs dont see how they could charge ppl afterwards? As that would be like tellin u it's free to get into a pub or sumit then try charging u on the way out. Imho gprs should be free ;-) This message was posted from a T610

I think £20 for unlimited GPRS is a little steep - it is correct that you can get 512K broadband for that - though the average PC is a little unpocketable methinks!

I suppose it is not really that bad a deal, only when we compare it to other means of data communication which work out better value...

Currently, for my sins, I pay about a fiver a month for Orange World (or whatever they call it), for 3mb's - I find this ample, though I am not a huge user of it 'cos GPRS is so slow - I thought it was meant to compete speedwise with 56k dialup, which is a little bit of a knightmare to work with at length at the best of times... though it is better than diap up wap i suppose...

You may have a point there... perhaps when the xda3 shows its face i shall move to 02 (better than mobile anyway!)... though to be fair when i got to have a little fiddle with the XDA2 at launch, i didn't fine O2's gprs to be any different... perhaps Iam just expecting too much... the average webpage takes a day and age to load up at best... well around 3 times slower than dial-up at least at a guess... though that is when Orange GPRS is actually working properly!...

As to the person who mentions the 100 pages as opposed to 1200 pages - well I think both are a little optimistic - unless they use blank pages!...

My 3mb's allow checking of emails a few times a week, perhaps a little check of the weather and cinema listings here and there, and thats about it... if you try viewing "proper" web pages it disappears remarkably fast... i have never been over the 3MB though, which is strange since i often forget to check...
