actually there is a "virus"/SMS that can do more damage than that, removal of battery doensät solve, you have to put the SIM-card in a phone that doesn't have the same security glitch, it's a dutch securityexpert that has discovered this. So far only 6210, 3330 and 3310 has been tested.

Swedes can read about it here:

can any1 translate this article into english for me?

Thanks a lot

I believe i have heard from someone that worked on Nokia support that the sw in Nokia mobiles is more voulnerable to socalled viruses than Ericsson phones since Ericsson have a more safer software than the (puney) Nokia phones.
Feel free 2 comment on that.

There was an SMS virus, or shall I say hack, which could bring down one of the older Nokia's.

The details can be found here:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/55/23080.html

I have seen or heard nothing on any Ericsson product as of yet, but I will keep an eye out.

More Nokia tricks and failures from Panuworld.net ...

By the way i have a Nokia 8210...

I´m interested in T68 but it seems to be on a beta-test stage. No offence, maybe the upcoming software versions will make a difference...
