get a data cable then that plugs into the serial port, not a USB port, this should be quicker.

Using dss-25 Soul Mp3 to desktop = 1min 45secs
Using BT Soul MP3 to Desktop = 6secs
Serial Not working for some reason

Edit serial was the same speed as dss-25, so i am guessing that it is the software that is slow not the cable as my serial cable used to be quick when i used FMA.

I have the same problem. Bluetooth is a bit faster, but it's still all pretty pony.

My P800 is slow too on the desk stand. But with that, you use a USB card reader to transfer files to the MSDuo which is like lightning.

Tried fMA, messed about with cable settings, all that. Still dead slow.

Roll on the S700 with MSDuo...

already had a bluetooth dongle (blue monkey one from expansys) and found it to be complete crap, the drivers were just awful and it did nothing but drive me mad.

Sorry to hear that - but my best advice would then still be
Get another dongle that works - BT is by far the best, fastest and most versatile way of connecting K700 and the pc. No other type of direct connection gives you the same speed or posibilities. I wouldent spend a second or a penny more on any other connection type - but rather find a way to use BT if I were you.

Naturally an external cardreader is much faster - but since k700 does not have memoryslot this is completely irrelevant in this particular thread.

most p900 owners have got a ms duo card reader. mine transfers a 60mb video in just under a minute. about 1MB per second. (usb 2.0) This message was posted from a WAP device

@ProficienT: Several people, including myself, have reported BT speeds around those that you are getting.

I agree that it seems slow compared to BT spec., but I guess it is normal for this phone...

Correction:

I'm getting 23-24 kBytes/s, not kbits/s...
