@p900 lover: hi. if you have bluetooth or infra-red (and maybe some sony software) you should be able to put the jar file (which is in the zip you downloaded) onto your handset and run it.

if you don't have bluetooth or infrared, you can use WAP to download your game. you'll need to have wap/internet access on your phone (it might be called Internet or something).

today the process went something like this...

* the dude with the p900 pointed his wap browser at http://www.infinitelives.tv/MMD/dist/sony.wml
* when the page appeared (which didn't take too long) he selected the first "p900" which is the demo (the second "p900" further down the page is the speed test but you don't need to run that)
* the phone retrieved a small file (called a jad) which asked if he wanted to download - he said yes. i think thats how it went
* the phone downloaded the demo proper. it didn't take long, maybe 20 seconds. the demo is only 76k or thereabouts so it shouldn't cost much on your bill at all, just pennies. we don't get the money! your phone company like tmobile or orange gets that. the demo is free from us but your provider might charge a little bit of cash to use wap/internet.
* i think the phone then installed the demo onto the main menu - it is called "Mayhem".

er, that was it. i was trying to look over his shoulder so i couldn't see everything but thats kinda how it went.

if you know how to bluetooth or infra-red stuff onto your phone do it that way otherwise go the wap route. if you don't have internet access on your phone, and don't know how to use bluetooth or infrared, i can't really help any more as i don't have a p900 myself Maybe someone else with infrared or bluetooth can comment.

there are seven levels. if you have trouble with the first boss you are gonna love the other six its all about bouncing. bounce bounce bounce. get the dust bags that come out of monsters and then bounce bounce bounce from one monster to another or keep hitting the same monster over and over til its dead.

dust gives you power. if you then bounce from monster to monster without touching the ground your damage goes up up up!

there are some big bags of dust near the boss - one before it, and one to the right of it. get the first one (the one on the left) and then bounce on the boss's head. dont touch the spikes on his back or land your arse on his horn cos that will hurt loads.

when you lose health little hearts pop out. you can pick them up again though but the hearts don't stick around forever - you only have about six seconds to pick them up before they disappear for good.

the later maps are bigger and more interesting. there are some monsters that fire including ones that send out homing stars - they are nasty! you can bounce on the red stars aswell though, just don't let them hit you up the arse.

if you learn how to bullet-bounce and watch the boss attacks you will be able to figure out how he will fire. there is a set routine he follows. at the top right of the first map in the sky there are some platforms with a big bag of dust - you have to bounce upupup on his bullets to get there.

its real simple stuff. you just have to master how to use your dust effectively, and keep in the air to get big combos (and score).

bounce away!

not sure if you can upgrade the p800 to midp2 though that would be cool if sony let you do it. i doubt its possible though.

i might be able to make a p800 version. the screen is smaller which will mean it isn't doing as much work and as it is an older unit it won't be as fast so it all balances out. i have other work to do right now but i'll investigate...

Didn't work for me, giving me multiple errors. Like "Page does not have a DNS server" and page contains errors, unable to load"

Is the server still up?

@IainsTheName: the page is still up. did you get the capitalisation right? You have to have capital MMD. The full url to the sony page is still http://www.infinitelives.tv/MMD/dist/sony.wml

@adnhk1: grin yeah i thought that might be a problem. maybe i could have a jump zone at the top of the screen, a zone you have to tap (rather than drag into) so you won't accidentally jump.
