My 501's aren't shielded. But yeah,a lot,but certainly not all speakers are shielded. But as stated earlier, unless a mobile uses a crt(cathode ray tube),which they dont, magnetic or electromagnetic fields are of little consequence. This message was posted from a Nokia

Why dont u just stick a velcro strip to the dashboard and the phone, then u dont need to worry about magnetising your phone and wrecking it.

Sh'yeah as if I would let my phone get anywhere near one of those. I remember taking the "magnet out of a fridge" into school and put it against the computer monitor and some of the colours that "appeared", well lets just say I didn't hang around for long!

a comp monitor is not a phone i E speakers in my room i mean 1000W 15" speakers and the magnets are HUGE and very very powerfull i put my phone on the cabnet all the time and it never ever goes funny- but i know what you mean about the monitor i put my TV on one of these speakers when i was moving my room round and the screne went purple and never went back again so i took it back and played all innocent (it just whent like that sir) lol

but in short - no it wont unless u get a SERIOUS magnet-i mean the ones that they have for brain scans in hospitals

;) huggs from ev1lted

That because speakers are shielded so the magnets in them don't do any damage
